Theatre for a Change recognises the need to uphold and promote the human rights particularly gender and sexual rights of young people, and offers them the safe space to clearly articulate and assert them. There is an emergent need for young women and men to assert their gender and sexual rights with confidence due to the key role it plays in reducing their risk of HIV infection. Hence, we are committed to improving our practices and strategies to address the issues of the young people holistically.
Theatre for a Change has therefore decided to integrate the component of gender and sexual rights conspicuously in all aspects of its work. Not only that but also clearly state and lead everyone working with Theatre for a Change to discover exactly what gender and sexual rights are.
This blog is therefore meant to generate discussions around gender and sexual issues in countries of operation.
